Position title: Communications Manager

 

Position reports to: Chief Communications and Marketing Officer (CCMO), Stephanie Titzel

 

Position status: Full time

 

Location: To be determined

 

Travel required: Some travel may be required.

 

Position summary:

Responsible for communicating the Girl Scout mission and current accomplishments of girl and adult members within the council. Assists the CCMO in the creation and implementation of public relations and media/marketing campaigns to promote Girl Scouting to internal and external audiences. Builds relationships within the community and utilizes various forms of media to achieve the council’s goals.

 

Skills and qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.

Five years work experience in communication and marketing preferred.

Strong public relations skills and ability to develop community collaborations.

Ability to effectively identify, analyze and solve problems.

 Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work, while managing multiple deadlines in a

continually changing work environment.

Ability to adapt well to changing circumstances, direction and strategy.

 Ability to work a flexible schedule and a willingness to travel throughout the council.
