Position title: Employment Manager

 

Position reports to: Human Resources Director, Patricia Purvis

 

Position status: Full time

 

Location: Hazleton

 

Travel required: Some travel may be required.

 

Position summary:

Administers the council’s recruiting and internship process, conducts new employee orientation, and provides support to supervisor in effective performance management techniques. Works with the Human Resources Director to develop/implement a recruiting/retention strategy that supports the council’s plan of work. Promotes the council by participating in job fairs, speaking opportunities in the community and/or employee events.  Recommends employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation.

 

Skills and qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.

Five years work experience in a human resources management position.

Good to excellent spelling, grammar, written and oral communication skills.

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information and documentation.

Ability to manage several tasks at once.

Ability to identify, analyze and solve problems.

Detail oriented.
