G.I.R.L. STEM Lab at Penn College

G.I.R.L. STEM Lab @ Pennsylvania College of Technology
Saturday, March 23 from 9:30 am - 4:00 pm

Girls will work side by side with students, staff and faculty working in the field, and hear from Penn College’s leadership discussing the future of STEM. Each girl will participate in a morning and afternoon session, and when available will select session preferences during registration. 

Daisy, Brownie, Juniors STEM Workshops: Women in Construction and Dental Hygiene

  • Public Policy

This event is for registered Girl Scouts only. Lunch will be provided to Girl Scouts and their registered chaperone.

Girls will also earn a Spark Curiosity patch.





G.I.R.L. Create at York Expo Center

G.I.R.L. Create @ York Expo Center
Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Girls…Unleash your creativity at this event. Caldecott Honor author Jen Bryant will kick off the day sharing the lessons she’s learned from some of the characters featured in her books and how they inspire her medium of art – writing! Girls will work side by side with local artist to explore how art starts a conversation.  Volunteer artists will lead a group project for girls to express their voice through art.

This new arts-focused event is sponsored by the Powder Mill Foundation; and the Airie Knipel, Harry V. and J. William Warehime Foundation. 

Girls will receive one of Jen Bryant’s books and earn a Spark Curiosity patch. Lunch will be provided.

 Calling all artists! Art starts a conversation and we want our Girl Scouts to be a part of it. That's why we need your help to lead girls in expressing their unique voices through art. All you need is a passion for your medium of art and willingness to share at our GIRL Create event at the York Expo Center from 8:00am-4:00pm on April 27th. Sign up here!



G.I.R.L. Innovate at Pocono Raceway

G.I.R.L. Innovate @ Pocono Raceway

Pocono Raceway is more than a motorsports and entertainment venue! There is so much that goes on behind the scenes, and this event will give girls access to the people, technology, and inclusive and sustainable systems that make it all happen. During this exciting day girls will experience:

  •        The sustainability behind the recycling and composting efforts and the 25 acre solar farm that powers some of the Raceway and portions of the community.
  •        The Marketing Experts who, like Girl Scouts, build partnerships and friendships with tomorrow’s leaders.
  •        The Military Affairs Department and how women on staff use math and science to do their jobs every day.
  •        The science and physics of how Pocono Raceway’s Safety and Security team operates.
  •        And of course – the science behind the adrenaline rush of the Tricky Triangle!

Pocono Raceway seeks to make a positive impact through every function of their business. Experience all that Pocono Raceway has to offer at this behind-the-scenes event. 

Girls will earn a Spark Curiosity patch. Lunch will be provided.
