WTS/Girl Scout Transportation YOU Club: February 12-So You Want To Be a Multimodal Transportation Engineer or Planner
Registration opens November 1st, 2017.
Whether we’re traveling by bike, foot, bus, train, plane, boat, or automobile, the way we get from one place to another is important. Multimodal transportation engineers and planners work with communities to design roads, sidewalks, bus routes, and more that help to make it easier and safer for people to travel around their communities.
At this Club event, scouts will have an opportunity to use their creative problem-solving skills to design their own transportation network for a small town. They will work together to figure out how to connect people and places using different types of transportation, (while staying within a given budget). If you like a challenge, this event is for you!
Dinner is included. Participants will earn a Transportation YOU fun badge. If interested, there are leadership opportunities for Seniors and Ambassadors.
Ages: Daisy-Ambassador (Grades: K-12)
Troops must follow girl/adult ratios outlined in Volunteer Essentials.
NOTE: Girls who are not attending the program with a troop, must be accompanied by their parent/guardian. All attending adults are required to register for the program.
