Have you ever looked at a highway and wondered how it was designed? Do you ever see signs on the side of the road and wondered who put them there? Have you ever been stuck in traffic and wanted to make it better? Highway and traffic engineers do this every day! They design and improve roads and intersections by creatively using their STEM knowledge and skills. They work hard to help people travel safely and quickly on their roads.

At this Club event, scouts will participate in hands-on activities, learning about how engineers design highways and how they decide where the signs and stop lights should go. Scouts will even build their own highway interchanges and road systems! Come prepare to flex your math and science skills and think outside of the box.

Dinner is included. Participants will earn a Transportation YOU fun badge. If interested, there are leadership opportunities for Seniors and Ambassadors.

Ages: Daisy-Ambassador (Grades: K-12)

Troops must follow girl/adult ratios outlined in Volunteer Essentials.

NOTE: Girls who are not attending the program with a troop, must be accompanied by their parent/guardian. All attending adults are required to register for the program.
