A bridge or “structural” engineer designs bridges that cross rivers, stream, and even other roads. There are so many different types of bridges that the engineer must figure out the best design for every need. These bridges can carry people, cars, buses, trucks, and even trains from one place to another.

At this Club event, scouts will work in teams and compete to see who can build the best bridge! They will learn about the different decisions that have to be made when designing a bridge and will use their math and critical thinking skills to work together to build a large bridge of their own.

Dinner is included. Participants will earn a Transportation YOU fun badge and this activity qualifies toward the new Think Like An Engineer patch. If interested, there are leadership opportunities for Seniors and Ambassadors.

Ages: Daisy-Ambassador (Grades: K-12)

Troops must follow girl/adult ratios outlined in Volunteer Essentials.

NOTE: Girls who are not attending the program with a troop, must be accompanied by their parent/guardian. All attending adults are required to register for the program.
