PA LCB Poster Contest
Who Can Participate? Why Participate?
The Alcohol Awareness Poster Contest is a valuable educational tool that provides students with an opportunity to learn about the dangers of underage drinking and identify the endless array of healthy, fun, and alcohol-free activities that encompass their world. Through their posters, students send an important message to their peers – there are many alternatives to underage drinking; kids do not have to drink to have fun. It is recommended that you judge the posters at your local level and then submit only the top entries from the school or district to the PLCB. Many schools and communities hold a contest during October as part of their Red Ribbon Week activities or as a part of other community related activities or events.
Prizes
- $100.00 U.S. Savings Bond - Students whose posters will be chosen to be reproduced.
- $50.00 U.S. Savings Bond - One (1) student from each grade level will be selected.
- Certificate of Recognition - Approximately 35 additional posters will receive special recognition.
Judging
A panel of judges will review the posters and selections will be based on the message and the presentation of the submission. Consideration will also be given to the student’s developmental level. Winners will be announced in early 2010.
