Accept the Call to be a Girl Scout Volunteer!

Accepting the call to be an adult Girl Scout volunteer is all about accepting a call to a mission, not a position description. Girl Scout volunteers build real-life skills, like managing, organizing and pubic speaking, to benefit them both personally and professionally.

GSHPA offers flexible volunteer opportunities, both short- and long-term, to fit the busiests of schedules. Volunteers can serve in a number of ways:

  • Long-term, mid-term, short-term and one-time opportunities are available
  • Virtual opportunities (participate in making a difference in the lives of girls without being 'physically' present - such as council committees, administrative support to council centers, camp projects, etc.)
  • Corporate opportunities - local businesses support Girl Scouting in a number of ways (encourage employees to volunteer, serve on the Board of Directors, support an event, donate skills such as offering programs, adult training, etc.)
  • Choices: A volunteer has choices about the amount of time they want to give, the interests they want to pursue, the skills they wish to share, the activities they enjoy, and the group they wish to serve.
