Babysitting 101 J, C - Fee: $6.00/Girl This four-hour training course includes all girls need to start babysitting, including: getting your business started, organizing your tote bag, playtime ideas for all ages, understanding the likes and dislikes of children, and solutions to the most common problems a babysitter faces. Geocaching J, C, S, A - Fee: $10.00/Kit, plus $75 deposit Participate in worldwide scavenger hunts for caches (mini-treasures) located right in your local community. Girls have an opportunity to have fun while learning about the high-tech navigation of GPS. Caches are also located on camp properties so you can explore this unique sport while troop camping. Heritage Discovery B, J, C, S, A - Fee: $2.00/Kit Look back to the beginning of Girl Scout time. Learn about semaphore flags (Juniors only), watch a silent movie, and learn about some fascinating women of the past. Visit our very own Archives Museum, located in the York Service Center. Complete the required activities and you can purchase the Heritage Discovery Patch in the council shop. Program Aide C, S, A - Fee: $2.00/Kit Girls in grades 7-12 can develop leadership skills and knowledge needed to teach younger girls. Information is included to help you train girls in the six-hour core course and different specializations; crafts, songs, games, arts and crafts, Outdoor skills, Musical instruments, puppets, Storytelling, and Ceremonies.
