As the Chief of Staff for Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania,
Adia serves as an intermediary between the senior leadership and the
organization’s key stakeholders including members, volunteers, donors,
staff, and community partners. In her day to day work, she oversees
strategic business initiatives to help raise awareness of the
importance of Girl Scouting and assists with the implementation of
major organizational goals to ensure a high quality Girl Scout
Leadership Experience across the council’s 30 county footprint.
Her love for working in the nonprofit sector started with her
service in the United States Peace Corps in East Africa and South
America where she worked closely with several grass roots non-profit
organizations devoted to making a difference in the world. She has
spent over 12 years in leadership positions for non-profit
organizations in Central Pennsylvania and graduated from the Martin
Luther King Jr., Leadership Development Institute of Greater
Harrisburg in 2019.
Adia has a Masters degree in Public Health from the University of
South Florida, with graduate certificates in Disaster Management and
Humanitarian Relief, as well as a Bachelor of the Arts degree in
Communications and Sociology from the University of Central Arkansas.
Adia lives in Harrisburg with her husband – Reggie, their children –
Iyanna and Trey, and their chocolate Labrador retriever – Mello.
