Harrisburg, PA – Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania (GSHPA) announced today that Nancy Venner will be joining the executive leadership team as Chief of Strategy and Policy. Venner will oversee the Marketing/Communication and Fund Development teams as well as lead all public advocacy efforts for the council. In addition, the Chief of Strategy and Policy will work closely with the GSHPA Board of Directors and other members of the leadership team in developing and implementing long-range strategic plans.
Venner is a mission-driven professional who brings significant executive level non-profit leadership experience to GSHPA. She has cultivated gifts from individuals, corporations and foundations, enhanced and built community relations plans, and led Board of Directors and leadership teams through long-range strategic initiatives. Her leadership background includes such organizations as ALS Association, the Alzheimer’s Association, and most recently serving as the Executive Director for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Central PA.
