Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania (GSHPA) will join councils across the country in celebrating National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend Feb. 18-20.
National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend was established to encourage consumers to invest in girl leaders of today and the future by purchasing Girl Scout Cookies. Every box of cookies purchased contributes to the largest girl-led entrepreneurial program in the world and helps local girls in their community reach their goals.
“The Girl Scout Cookie Program teaches girls lifelong business and leadership skills such as money management, business ethics and goal setting. All funds earned from the program stay local, supporting the girls in their Girl Scout experience including outdoor experiences, community service projects and more!” said Jess Delp, GSHPA Director of Product Program and Retail.
Cookie Season officially kicked off in January, and since then Girl Scouts have wasted no time in devising strategies to entice their customers to buy cookies. From homemade marketing videos to utilizing social media platforms like TikTok, girls are getting creative to spread the excitement of Cookie Season to everyone.
Customers can purchase their favorite Girl Scout Cookies online now using the Girl Scout Cookie Finder. Through the Cookie Finder, consumers can easily find where cookie-selling booths are being established in their local area and when the booths will be open. Customers can also donate cookies to Operation Gratitude and help GSHPA reach their goal of donating 50,000 packages to military members at home and overseas.
Girl Scouts are selling a total of nine different flavors this Cookie Season, including beloved favorites Thin Mints, Samoas, Tagalongs, S’mores, Do-Si-Dos, Trefoils, Toffee-Tastic and Lemon-Ups. Additionally, Girl Scouts are selling the new Adventurefuls, an indulgent brownie-inspired cookie with caramel-flavored crème, a hint of sea salt and an incredible taste of adventure in every bite.
GSHPA invites everyone to celebrate National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend by purchasing a box (or more) of Girl Scout Cookies to help girls in your local community polish their entrepreneurship skills and fund their next adventure.
