Join us in celebrating Girl Scout Week 2022!

GS Week 2022

The Girl Scout birthday commemorates the day in 1912 when Juliette Gordon Low officially registered the organization's first 18 girl members in Savannah, Georgia.

Join us in celebrating each day from March 6-12 during our very own GSHPA Spirit Week. If your girl or troop is celebrating in any other way, we want to know! Share a Mission Moment with us and you just may see it pop up on social media or in next month’s Insider News.

Girl Scout Sunday (Sunday, March 6)

Earn your My Promise, My Faith Pin. Work with your family and faith leaders to earn the pin to celebrate the connection between the Girl Scout Promise and Law and your faith.

Girl Scout Spirit Day (Monday, March 7)

Show off your Girl Scout pride all day long in your community by wearing your Girl Scout uniform, a favorite Girl Scout t-shirt, or maybe rock some Girl Scout green! Share a picture with us on social media and use the hashtag #GirlScoutWeek

International Women’s Day (Tuesday, March 8)

International Women's Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women's equality. How will you #BreaktheBias?

Get Outdoors (Wednesday, March 9)

Celebrate Girl Scouts in the great outdoors! Getting outside is such an important piece of the Girl Scout experience. What is your favorite way to get outdoors? Don’t forget to share pictures with us on social media and use the hashtag #GirlScoutWeek

Throwback Thursday (Thursday, March 10)

For 110 years, Girl Scouts have been breaking down barriers to accomplish their goals and tackling issues in their communities. Since you are such a big part of who we are, we are inviting you to share your favorite Girl Scout memories with us!

Eat. Share. Care. (Friday, March 11)

Encourage someone in your community to enjoy some Girl Scout Cookies, give some to a friend, or donate to a worthy cause—every bite counts!

Girl Scouts’ 110th Birthday (Saturday, March 12)

Celebrate the 110th Anniversary of Girl Scouts! Decorate a 110th anniversary coloring page and share it with us on Facebook or complete some activities from the 110th anniversary challenge sheet! How are you celebrating?

*UPDATE: GSHPA will be postponing the Capitol Lighting ceremony originally scheduled for this weekend in Harrisburg. The Governor recently moved to have the Capitol lights reflect the conflict in Ukraine/Russia. We understand this is a time to remember those who are suffering and need our help in this conflict. The lights should reflect that.

We will be rescheduling a time later this spring to gather at the steps of the State Capitol to celebrate our 110th anniversary.

Thank you for your understanding as we quickly shift plans for this weekend.
