STEM in the Outdoors
Girl Scout families are invited to GSHPA’s inaugural STEM in the Outdoors event! This event showcases a rotation of outdoor activities with an optional self-guided activity! Join us for an outdoor day filled with nature hikes, scavenger hunts, and STEAM!
There are two sessions to choose from. The first session runs from 9:30am-1:30pm and the second from 2-6pm. When registering, please choose which session you would like to attend. We ask that families adhere to the arrival and departure times of the session that they are registered for. GSHPA staff will sanitize equipment and tables between rotations and between sessions. Participants must wear masks and maintain 6ft of distance when interacting with those that are not within their family unit.
This event is open to families of up to five individuals. The cost is $25 per family. If a family has greater than five members, that family must register as two different families. All participants must be five years of age or older. At least one member of the family must be a registered member of GSHPA. GSHPA registered girl members receive a GSHPA swag bag on the day of the event.
Snacks and/or lunch will not be provided. Families are welcome to bring their own snacks and water. Please wear comfortable shoes for walking and dress for the weather. You will remain outdoors for the duration of the event.
You will receive additional information one week prior to the start of the event. This includes a detailed schedule for the day, a COVID waiver, and other helpful information!
NOTE: Participants must be able to walk from station to station. The stations are spread out around the Camp Small Valley property. Families are prohibited from driving between sessions.
