Girls in sixth through 12th grade are invited to Camp Archbald for Naturalist in Training! Your older girl will participate in a hands-on overnight learning experience where shell do some community science, nature journaling, new career discovery, meet some naturalist and more. Friends are welcome, so have her grab a buddy for a fun weekend in the outdoors!
We will provide breakfast and dinner on Saturday, and then breakfast on Sunday. Participants must bring their own snacks, lunch for Saturday and a reusable water bottle.
Participants will spend a considerable amount of time outside. Please wear close toed shoes and pack for the weather. Check-in will begin at 6 p.m. on March 31 and check-out will be at 11:30 a.m. on April 2. We ask that adults and girls adhere to the arrival and departure times.
You will receive additional information including packing list, behavior contract, health form, and more required forms via email before the event.
Troops attending this event must adhere to the girl-adult ratios outlined in Volunteer Essentials. Individual girls must attend with a parent/guardian. All troops must have at least two unrelated chaperones. THIS IS NOT A DROP-OFF EVENT. All parents/guardians MUST stay on camp property for the duration of the program.
CANCELLATION POLICY: Program fee refunds will not be issued for cancellations received one week or less before the program start date.
