Details about Camp Archbald Adventure Element
Facilitation:
Low ropes: A minimum of one facilitator and
an additional adult chaperone must be present in order to facilitate
low ropes. Before use, instructors should inspect all equipment,
course components, and landing areas. Per Safety Activity Checkpoints:
Low ropes elements are appropriate for Daisies and older. Initiative
games and low elements require the group to work together to
accomplish mental or physical challenges; spotters safeguard the
movements of each member of the group. This site-specific training is
applicable to Camp Small Valley & Archbald low ropes course but is
not applicable to other non-GSHPA facilities.
For the
Climbing Wall: a minimum of two facilitators must always be present
when using the climbing wall WITHOUT the zipline. Before use,
instructors should inspect all equipment, course components, and
landing areas. Per Safety Activity Checkpoints: The climbing is
appropriate for Brownies and older. However, if harnesses/helmets do
not appropriately fit a Brownie, she cannot participate in this
activity. This site-specific training is applicable to Camp Small
Valley & Archbald Climbing Wall but is not applicable to other
non-GSHPA facilities.
For the Climbing Wall/Zipline: a
minimum of three facilitators must always be present when using the
climbing wall with the zipline. Before use, instructors should inspect
all equipment, course components, and landing areas. Per Safety
Activity Checkpoints: The climbing wall/zip line is appropriate for
Juniors and older. This site-specific training is not applicable to
other facilities.
Your instructor will assign you a pass
level at the end of the training.
