January 2012 - Cookie Colleges/Rallies go council-wide! Join GSHPA for a Forever Green day at the movies. Plus test your Girl Scout history with our 100th Anniversary fact of the month.

December 2011
- Convention Update: Check out what the GSHPA Delegates learned at the 52nd National Convention. Join us for the 100 Grand Girl Scouts Challenge. Plus, there's still time to go green and take our EcoFootprint Challenge!

November 2011 - State legislators join Troop PA during a ceremony at the State Capitol to help generate excitement about the 100th anniversary of Girl Scouting. See all the great things GSHPA  has planned for the upcoming celebration with events throughout the council!

October 2011
- It's the start of a new troop year, check out our latest Good Rule of Thumb, plus new partnership opportunities for volunteers, and learn how you can join Girl Scouts from around the country in a special 100th Anniversary Girl Scout hike!

April 2011
- Kicking Off Forever Green Event! One of Radio Disney's biggest pop stars is playing at this HUGE Girl Scout Event. Don't miss your chance to join in the fun! The new location for our York Office is open and ready for visitors, plus the registration deadline for scholarships is approaching.

March 2011
- GSHPA is now on Facebook! Volunteer Training Weekends are set. Learn how to register for Troop Adventure Camp, plus property reservation upgrades are in the works.

February 2011
- Troop Adventure Camp is back! Scholarship deadline is almost here. The Council Store goes on tour and more volunteer training weekends are coming up.

January 2011
-Forever Green mini-grant deadline gets extended, a great opportunity for volunteers interested in helping to raise money for GSHPA, Cookie College 2011 is a huge success, plus preparation for transition to new Girl Scout materials is underway.

December 2010 - Getting into the spirit of giving through volunteering, see how you can represent national delegates at a national meeting, plans for Cookie College 2011 are underway, plus two service units combine forces for a special event.

November 2010
- A troop leader tells her story of how she secured a grant through her employer to benefit girls in the GSHPA Council, Important closing dates to note this month for GSHPA and the Council Store, Get girls psyched to fill out a survey that will benefit THEM!, plus, check your calendars and "Save the Date" for some exciting upcoming events!

October 2010
- Happy Birthday to Girl Scout founder, Juliette Gordon Low, plus Five Tips to start the new Girl Scout troop year, and fall program opportunities.

September 2010
- Volunteers kick-off the 2010-2011 Girl Scout year at Camp Louise, Introducing the New Girl Scout Brand, Shifting to a New Way of Work, New drop-in hours at regional offices, 2010 Fall Volunteer Training Weekends, Product Sales Dough expiration date extended, plus new financial assistance forms.

July 2010 - Girls honored at the 2010 Girl Scout Gold Award Ceremony, Summer Camp update, plus a list of scheduled Camp Farewell Events. Plus, we need troop leaders for the upcoming troop year!

June 2010 - Updated business plan moving forward with great results, updated guidelines for bridging awards, Girl Scout nights with local baseball teams, plus, still time to join us for sleepaway camp!

May 2010 - Customer Service Core Values. Wrap up of the 2010 Annual Meeting and Volunteer Recognitions. SU best practices as you start thinking about the 2010-2011 troop year. Camp open houses this month!

April 2010 - Task force work begins. New way of work pilot underway. New online store live.Girl Scout voices survey. Program updates. Local Girl Scout pioneer, Florence Pyle, passes away.

March 2010 - Flooding forces closure of Camp Lycogis. Direct cookie sale is underway. Girl Scout Gold Award webinars.

February 2010 - Thinking Day - ending world poverty and hunger. Free shipping on online purchases extended.

January 2010 - GSHPA charter renewd. Newly minted CEOs - Cookie Entrepreneur Officers - ready for success! 2009 Edition of the Blue Book now available. Girl Scout Gold Award advisors needed.

Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania - helping today's girls become tomorrow's leaders. We thank all of our volunteers, our supporters, our staff and, most importantly, our girl members for your collective efforts to not only move our Council toward a better financial direction, but also to maintain the spirit of fun and adventure that has always made Girl Scouts the premier leadership organization for girls in the heart of Pennsylvania, in the nation and in the world.
