Camp Echo Trail is located in southeastern York County along the banks of the Susquehanna River. Facilities range from modern lodges to rustic Adirondack huts and the majestic looking Indian Meadows tepee unit. There is also a challenge course, an archery field and a pool.
Founded in 1953, the 315-acre camp has wide open field areas suitable for numerous sporting activities. In the summer, overnight accommodations can house up to 374 people, with room for 300 additional people in tents in the fields if established units are full. In the winter, established units can accommodate 148 people overnight. There is also space available for up to 374 people for daytime events. Challenge Course Facilitators work with groups to safely recognize and reach their potential through fun and challenging team-building activities. Challenge Course Facilitators use initiatives, low course and high course elements to enhance self-confidence, promote positive group dynamics, expand problem-solving abilities and increase levels of communications. You’re a perfect fit to become a Challenge Course Facilitator if you are interested in challenging yourself and others; enjoy the outdoors; are willing to work and live with others; and want to contribute to Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania’s program offerings. You should also enjoy working with all ages, be responsible and have a sense of humor. Experience is not necessary and training will be provided.
