What Can a Cookie Do?
What can a cookie do? More than you see!

MORE than you see

Welcome to the Girl Scout Cookie Program!

With a Girl Scout cookie, a girl can dream more. She has more opportunities. She can give more to her community. She is more empowered. And she can do more than she ever thought possible.

As Girl Scouts prepares to turn 100, we are very excited to usher in a new era of the Girl Scout Cookie Program.

The Cookie Program is one of the largest girl-led businesses in the nation! But it's much MORE than a fundraiser; it's a chance for girls to learn! Girl Scouts from Daisies to Ambassadors who participate in the Cookie Program will learn five key skills that will help shape their futures.

5 Skills for Girls
1. Goal Setting
2. Decision Making
3. Money Management
4. People Skills
5. Business Ethics

This is How the Cookie Crumbles

All of the proceeds - every penny - from GSHPA's Cookie Program remains in our 30-counties where the cookies are sold. This revenue is used to benefit girls. Some of it directly by remaining in the Girl Scout troop/group treasury and some of it indirectly by subsidizing the cost of providing the Girl Scout program in the local area.
How the cookie crumbles: 23% of proceeds go to troops. 52% goes to Council to support programs, camps and administrative costs. 25% goes to the baker for ingredients, packaging and shipping.

The Girl Scout Cookie Program helps GSHPA:

  1. Recruit and train volunteer adults to work with girls.
  2. Provide the financial assistance needed to make Girl Scouting available to all girls.
  3. Improve and maintain camps and other activity sites.
  4. Keep event/camp fees for all members to a minimum.
  5. Sponsor social events and projects.
