Adrienne Vicari

Biography

Adrienne Vicari has served as a GSHPA Member At-Large and Treasurer.  For this past year, she has chaired the Property Committee and worked tirelessly to commit resources to all four GSHPA camp properties.

Adrienne serves as the Financial Services Practice Area Leader for Herbert, Rowland & Grubic, Inc. She has over 15 years of experience in a broad range of financial, project management, and engineering design services for municipal wastewater, water, and stormwater clients.

In addition, Ms. Vicari has designed water, wastewater and storm water infrastructure projects and has experience with feasibility studies, environmental plans and reports, permit applications, and construction administration.

Ms. Vicari has worked with over 90 municipalities in Pennsylvania on Stormwater Utility/Authority feasibility analysis, authority implementation or regional stormwater management initiatives. Her expertise across multiple counties throughout the GSHPA footprint will be invaluable to the council.

Alison Bernhardt

Chief Financial Officer for the UPMC Central Pa. Region

Biography

Alison L. Bernhardt, CPA, is Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for the UPMC Central Pa. Region.  In this role she is the Senior executive responsible for managing the financial actions of Central Pa.  The CFO’s duties include financial forecasting and budgeting as well as analyzing the organization’s financial strengths and weaknesses and proposing corrective actions.  She also is actively involved in developing the strategic direction of the region. 

Alison has extensive experience in health care finances. Prior to her current role as CFO, she served as Vice President of Accounting and Reporting at UPMC Pinnacle, overseeing financial reporting, payroll, tax, treasury, accounts payables, and asset management. Alison came to UPMC Pinnacle from the global financial firm PricewaterhouseCoopers where she filled a number of leadership positions focusing on non for profit and health care industries. She was named one of the region’s Women of Influence by the Central PA Business Journal in 2017.

Alison earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA). She is also a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) and the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).

Alison lives in Mount Joy, Pennsylvania, with her husband, Michael, and their four children. In her free time, she can be found at area basketball courts, baseball diamonds, and soccer fields cheering on her children.  Growing up Alison was a girl scout for several years and currently serves as the Chair of the Finance & Audit Committee for the Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania.

Biography

As an Investment Consultant, Bridget works with defined contribution retirement plans, developing cost efficient solutions that work for the plan sponsor and participants. Bridget spends the bulk of her time as a consultant in its truest form, consulting with clients, helping them align their business goals with an appropriate investment solution.

With over 16 years of experience, Bridget has shown an innate ability to truly partner with her clients. Prior to Conrad Siegel, she worked as both an Associate Wealth Manager and a Branch Manager for two regional firms where she developed solutions for individuals, families, and institutions in the areas of trust administration and comprehensive wealth planning. Her broad background gives clients a unique perspective in developing solutions for their retirement plans.

Detail oriented and always willing to go the extra mile, Bridget’s best attributes can be seen in all that she does. Whether it’s from her office or through her community involvement, you’ll continuously find Bridget putting in the extra effort and smiling when the success comes to those that she works closely with. A country girl at heart and an avid runner, Bridget always seems to be hustling, whether it’s for her clients or with her family who spend all of their free time enjoying the outdoors together.

As a young girl, Bridget started with Girl Scouts as a Daisy through Cadet and continues to be involved through her daughter who is now a Brownie.

Biography

Jeshanah is the Marketing Director at Brown Schultz Sheridan & Fritz with experience in both digital and traditional marketing. She directs all facets of the internal marketing department, including creating and implementing the overall marketing strategy of the Firm, branding, public relations and digital strategy.

With experience in digital marketing, she consults with clients and helps to train them on search engine optimization (SEO), pay-per-click advertising (PPC), email marketing and social media strategies. She also helps clients strategize for redesigns and rebranding efforts.

In 2017, she received national recognition as Rookie Marketer of the Year from the Association for Accounting Marketing for excelling in the field of accounting marketing after being in the industry for less than two years. She has also been honored as the 2018 Rising Philanthropist by the Foundation for Enhancing Communities Women’s Fund, as well as a Central Penn Business Journal 2020 Women of Influence honoree.

She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Penn State University.

As a girl, Jeshanah was a brownie with a Girl Scout organization in Jamaica and a Girls Scout once she moved to the States.

Jayne Huston is an advocate for women, small business owners and their success. For the past two decades, thousands of women entrepreneurs have benefited from her involvement in a leading Western Pennsylvania women’s business center providing technical assistance for women entrepreneurs in a 27-county Western Pennsylvania marketplace.

Jayne works as a Business and Executive Coach/Vice President with ThistleSea Business Development, LLC, Cranberry Township, (Pittsburgh). As part of the ThistleSea team, she is growing businesses throughout the Commonwealth through coaching, mentoring and consulting services from the firm’s Harrisburg area location.

Among her recognitions, Jayne has been the recipient of the “Business Women First” Award presented by the Pittsburgh Business Times. She has also received the Women of Achievement Award in Pittsburgh as well as the Gannon University Small Business Development Center’s Legacy Award at the Women in Leadership Development (WILD) Conference in Erie. Jayne has also been recognized as the U.S. SBA’s Women’s Business Advocate, Region III (Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, DC, and West Virginia); and counted among the “Top 100 People” and “Entrepreneur of the Year” (Non-Profit) by Pennsylvania Business Central.

Jayne received her business coaching certification from the Professional Business Coaches Alliance (PBCA) in March 2016. Jayne currently offers her expertise to GSHPA as a Board Strategy & Planning Committee member.

Daren comes to the GSHPA board with a depth  of experience in the food industry. Most of that time spent at The Hershey Company focusing heavily on Innovation and Brand Management.  In 2016 Daren joined Ahold Delhaize with a focus on GIANT/MARTINS.  While at GIANT, Daren has held a variety of leadership positions to include Director Business Analytics, Director Strategy & Innovation, Chief of Staff to the President and most recently Director of Operations.  Daren has been serving as a GSHPA member At-Large and Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee.

Daren and his wife Maria have resided in Central Pennsylvania for last 15 years and are the proud parents of Gabriella, Juliet, and Andrew.

Biography

As Executive Vice President and Managing Director for Institutional Asset Management, Debbie is responsible for the execution of the business strategy of PNC Bank’s outsourced investment and retirement solutions business. This includes working with corporations, government entities, pension, and defined contribution plan clients, endowments and foundations.  She was named to this role in April 2014. Prior to that Debbie served as the National Sales Director for the Institutional Investments business. She has been with PNC since 1990 and prior to recent roles has managed the Wealth Management and Institutional Investment Group activities in Northeast PA, ensuring that a full range of services are provided to the high net worth clients, nonprofits, and corporations. She has held various positions with PNC including Credit Analyst, Credit Department Manager, Commercial Loan Officer, Corporate Banking Relationship Manager, and Managing Director of the Private Client Group.

Debbie is a graduate of Leadership Lackawanna and the Leadership Wilkes-Barre Executive Series. She is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Scranton, majoring in business administration/management.

Debbie is very active in the community having served as a board member or volunteer for various organizations over the years.

She is currently the President of the Lackawanna Industrial Fund Enterprise, Vice-Chair of the Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce, and Vice-Chair of the Girl Scouts in the Heart of PA. She is a fund-raiser/volunteer for the United Way of Lackawanna County.  Debbie is a Board Member for Johnson College and the Wright Center for Community Health and also serves on the Advisory Board for CMC Geisinger Hospital.

Biography

Kathy’s love for Girl Scouts began in 1953 when she started as a girl member. She continued with Girl Scouts as a Girl Scout Camp Counselor for three years and a Day Camp Director for one year. In 1979, she held the position of Troop Overnight Camping Adjunct Leader.

Kathy has experience as a Nursery School Director, High School Mathematics Teacher, Educational Administrator, and Architectural Technologist/Historic Preservationist. Most recently, she was the CEO of YWCA of Greater Harrisburg and the Executive Director of Dauphin County Historical Society.

Biography

As a Retail Regional Manager, Admin VP of Banking at M&T Bank, Dan Sheaffer is responsible for leading and managing a retail sales and operations team comprised of 14 branches and 100 employees in the Capital Region to include all operations, financial results and strategic direction.

With 20+ years of financial and sales management Dan has demonstrated exceptional achievements increasing revenue and employee performance while leading teams of varying sizes and in multiple markets.

Dan serves as Board member at the Halifax Wildcat Education Foundation and a Catalyst Awards Committee Member at the Harrisburg regional Chamber of Commerce. At GSHPA, Dan offers his expertise as a Board member and on the Property Committee.

Lynne Leopold-Sharp

 

Lynne Leopold-Sharp

Biography

Lynne’s Girl Scout experiences included twelve years as a troop leader for her daughter’s troops, and as Director of Product Sales and Family Giving for Penn Laurel GSC and Director of Product Sales for GSHPA. She was also a long-time volunteer for her sons’ scout troops and church and served on the York Suburban School Board for twenty-two years holding the positions of president, vice president, and treasurer.

Lynne received her B.A. and M.A. degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, and her M.B.A. from Temple University. She worked as a museum curator for the National Park Service for more than a dozen years (at Independence NHP in Philadelphia, Minute Man NHP in Concord, MA, and the Northeast Region in Boston). She is the author of several historical and museum-related publications.

More recently Lynne served as the Director of the Financial Stability Partnership, a United Way program managed by Lutheran Social Services, and ended her working career with the Public School Employees’ Retirement System. In retirement she and her husband, Dan, are active in the York County AARP TaxAide program.

Biography

Introduced to Girl Scouts as a Brownie, Tena remembers the fun experiences from her Girl Scout childhood days. As an adult, she has been a troop leader for Daisy and Brownie troops and has enjoyed sharing her love for Girl Scouts with her daughter. Her most memorable experiences have been spending weekends at Camp Small Valley and traveling to Washington DC in 2012 to Rock the Mall to celebrate 100 years of Girl Scouts with 250,000 other Girls Scouts .

Tena is currently the Associate Vice President for Human Resources at Bloomsburg University and brings over twenty years of experience in a variety of Human Resource areas and industries in both the public and private sectors. She serves on the Board for the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education Faculty Health and Welfare Fund and is a member of the Diversity Equity and Inclusion Board of Advisors for the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education.   

A Pennsylvania State University graduate in Business Management, Tena then received her Master’s degree in Human Resources Management from Saint Francis University. She holds several HR related certifications including  Professional in Human Resources (PHR) from HRCI and The Society for Human Resources Management’s (SHRM) certified professional in Human Resources. 

Tena, her husband, and three children enjoy spending time outdoors, RV camping, and supporting the kids at their sporting events.  She is an active volunteer in the community and coaching youth sports.

Biography

Susan Smith began her Girl Scout journey in the 1970s as a Brownie in the Hemlock Council. A graduate of Penn State University with a broad professional background she has remained committed throughout the years to serving others.

She started her career in Washington D.C assisting individuals with mental health and intellectual and developmental disabilities and continued to work with diverse populations throughout the world as she accompanied her husband during his military career. She has worn many hats over the years to accomplish dynamic objectives aimed at improving the lives of vulnerable and less fortunate individuals.

She is highly skilled in strengthening stakeholder relations, formulating community partnerships and creating outreach and training programs. Throughout her career, she successfully led individuals and teams focused on program development, compliance and growth.

Biography

Barbara T. Green has over 30 years of business management experience. As President of Blue Mountain Ski Resort, Barb has doubled the revenue, and made it a priority for the company to become a full year-round resort and leader in exceptional guest services. Prior to joining Blue Mountain Resort, she was Chief Financial Officer of Gestalt, LLC, Controller at Rouse & Associates, CF, and Director of Sales Operations for Breakaway Solutions, a full service Internet provider with offices throughout the United States. A graduate of Lehigh University, Barb then joined Ernst & Young, an international CPA firm, where she supervised audits on manufacturing, construction, health care and insurance clients.

Barb participated in Girl Scouts from 1st grade through 6th grade, again in 9th grade. She then was a cookie mom for her two daughters in Brownies. In addition, Blue Mountain Resort offers discounts to Girl Scouts, promotes a shared partnership with any troops it comes in contact with, and helps with cookie sales at the resort for local troops.

Representing the North region of the GSHPA footprint, Barb is on the Executive Board of the St. Luke Carbon County, Carbon County Chamber of Commerce, Pocono Mountain Visitor Bureau, Pennsylvania Ski Area Association, Delaware and Lehigh Heritage Corridor, Workforce Investment Committee, and the Industrial Development Authority Carbon County. She serves as on the GSHPA Board of Directors as a Member-at-Large and a member of the GSHPA Finance & Audit Committee.

Biography

As a young girl, Kate Wix enjoyed the experiences and opportunities provided to her through her participation in the Brownie Program. The opportunity to help provide those same experiences and opportunities to develop other young girls into strong, confident, mindful woman that are ready to lead drives her interest in serving as a GSHPA Finance & Audit Committee member. A graduate of Penn State University and the Penn State University Dickinson School of Law, Kate is a Vice President Commercial Banker for S&T Bank in Lancaster, PA. She resides with her family in Hummelstown.

Biography

Trish recently retired from a 44-year career in financial services with PNC Bank. She began her career at a community bank holding various positions until the bank was acquired by PNC Bank in 1988. She held several positions within PNC and spent the last 20 years in the Institutional Asset Management Group. She was a portfolio manager and relationship manager for charitable and non-profit organizations and corporate pension plans.  In that role, she was an advocate for clients providing solutions for the achievement of their financial goals. 

She currently serves on the congregation council of her church and is a board member of the nonprofit cemetery. A lifelong resident of central Pennsylvania she resides in Silver Spring Township

Biography

Janice Black is the President/CEO of The Foundation for Enhancing Communities (formerly The Greater Harrisburg Foundation.) The Foundation funds more than 68 projects benefiting the community, including partnerships dealing with AIDS, homelessness, relations with the gay and lesbian communities and math and science education and early childhood education.

Over the years, Ms. Black chaired the following committees: Vocational, Community Service, World Fellowship, and Harrisburg Rotary Foundation, Elizabethtown College Leadership Council, Pennsylvania State University's Master of Health Administration Program Leadership Council, Council on Foundations Research Committee, Harrisburg Academy Community Advisory Board, Delta Dental of Pennsylvania, Graystone Bank Community Advisory Board and the Council for Public Education, as a Lane Chair for the District Committees and Projects, and as Board Member or Advisor with the Pennsylvania Humanities Council.

Ms. Black holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia and a certification in Psychiatric Nursing from the American Nurses Association.

Anthony is the Owner, President/Design Director of abSketches; A Visual Marketing Co. based in York, PA.   abSketches has been producing 3D renderings, animations, lifestyle films, Virtual Reality applications, and more for architects, real estate developers, and product brands globally since 2009 to the present. Anthony started his career at 13 working as a laborer for architectural and construction companies through high school and college.  Post college, he worked for an architectural company in San Diego where he started taking on management & lead design positions. He joined the GSHPA Board in 2019.

Biography

Liz Dellinger is the Director of Treasury Management at York Traditions Bank, holds a degree from the University of Delaware, and is a GSHPA Girls Scout Troop Leader.  Liz has served on various community organization boards including YWCA of York, York County Community Foundation (YCCF), York County Chamber of Commerce, Lutheran Social Services of South Central Pennsylvania, and the York County Economic Alliance.  She has served as the Campaign Chair for the United Way of York County.

Liz was a founding member of ALLIANCEfuel, the first recipient of their Ignite Award, and York’s ATHENA Award Winner. The ATHENA Award program was developed 29 years ago by ATHENA International to honor exceptional woman leaders who demonstrate the highest level of professional excellence, give back to their community, and most importantly, assist other women in realizing their full leadership potential. In addition, she was chosen as a Woman of Influence by the Central Penn Business Journal.

Biography

Betsy is retired after a 40-year career with the Girl Scouts.  Her career started right after college at Western Reserve Girl Scout Council in Akron, Ohio as a Field Director and then moved to the Girl Scouts of Greater Philadelphia where she was Director of the Outdoor Program and Facilities.  Her first CEO position was in Springfield, MA. In 1979 she moved to Harrisburg to become the CEO of Hemlock Girl Scout Council has interviewed for the position TMI weekend. During her tenure at Hemlock, the council had one of the first successful Girl Scout Council capital campaigns in the country that resulted in among other things the addition of what was then called the program center to the council office on Hale Ave. From there she moved to NYC and began work with GSUSA where she eventually became National Director of Council Services. In this position, she oversaw the development of management resources and consulting for local councils. She left GSUSA to become the CEO of the Girl Scout Council of Southwestern CT. Betsy’s last CEO position was with Penn Laurel Council based in York. She was co-chair of the council realignment committee thus providing local management leadership for the merger.    After retiring Betsy worked as an interim CEO in councils in Boston, MA, Jackson, MS, and Madison, WI as well as doing many contract projects for GSUSA.

Betsy is a graduate of Hiram College, Hiram, Ohio where she majored in social science and has an M.Ed. from Kent State University. She has taken many non-profit leadership courses at Harvard University, the Mandell School at Case Western Reserve, and Peter Drucker at the Drucker Graduate School of Management at Claremont.

Currently, Betsy is active in the York community on the York Symphony Board as well as the York County Literacy Council Board. She is an active Court Appointed Advocate for Children (CASA) and a Standards Committee member and reviewer for PANO. In addition, she is very active in the Osher Life Long Learning Institute (OLLI) at Penn State, York, an allocations volunteer for the UW of York County and a member of the Embracing Aging Committee of the York County Community Foundation. 

Karen Best

Biography

Karen has been a Girl Scout, Troop Leader and a Troop Cookie Chairman. She served as a member of the first Board of Directors for Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania from 2007 to 2011 and rejoined the Board in 2014. She has chaired the GSHPA Board Development Committee and currently serves on the Fund Development Committee.

Karen is very active in the Harrisburg region. She is a past president of the Junior League of Harrisburg and past chairman of the Board of Trustees of the United Methodist Home for Children. In addition, she recently completed a two-year term as the president of the Harrisburg Symphony Society and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra. As a former township supervisor, Karen has served on various regional planning, transportation, zoning, recreational and economic development commissions.

Now retired, Karen has 28 years of higher education administration experience. She is a graduate of Dickinson College and Penn State-Harrisburg with a master’s degree in public administration. A widow, she has two children and five grandchildren including two granddaughters who are fourth generation Girl Scouts.

Kathy’s love for Girl Scouts began in 1953 when she started as a girl member. She continued with Girl Scouts as a Girl Scout Camp Counselor for three years and a Day Camp Director for one year. In 1979, she held the position of Troop Overnight Camping Adjunct Leader.

Kathy has experience as a Nursery School Director, High School Mathematics Teacher, Educational Administrator, and Architectural Technologist/Historic Preservationist. Most recently, she was the CEO of YWCA of Greater Harrisburg and the Executive Director of Dauphin County Historical Society.

Marion has been involved in Girl Scouts as a troop leader for 12 years, most recently leading a troop at the Urban Center. Marion is a member of the Gold Award Event Committee and was chair of the first Gold Award Event in 1991. Marion has served on the boards of a number of other community organizations including the United Way of the Capital Region, Whitaker Center, Allied Arts, Susquehanna Art Museum, Goodwill, Family and Children’s Services, YWCA, and Dauphin County Library System. Marion has received a number of recognitions for her work in the community including the Community Supporter of the Arts Award in 2003, Central Pennsylvania Fund Raising Council Outstanding Volunteer Award in 2002, Alexis de Tocqueville Humanitarian Award in 1997, John Baum Humanitarian Award in 1996, and the Community Child Advocate Award in 1995.

Marion’s other activities include being the Director and Past President (1989-1990, 1992) of the Historical Society of Dauphin County, the Director and Development Chairman of the Metro Arts, the Founder and Past President (1985-1986) of the Museum of Scientific Discovery, Past Director of the YMCA, and the former Director of the Mental Health Association.

Cody C. Cogan, M.S., P.E. is the Managing Principal and co-founder of Endeavor Professional Services, LLC and is responsible for all day-to-day operations. Mr. Cogan holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Resource Management and a Master of Science Degree in Agricultural and Biological Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University. Cody has worked with a diverse group of operators and has successfully navigated the regulatory and design requirements for over 250 project sites.

Prior to co-founding Endeavor, Mr. Cogan began his career as a research analyst with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency based in Washington, D.C. where he assisted in the development of stormwater modeling to determine the fate and transport of pollutants. After his time with the U.S. EPA, Mr. Cogan was retained by Herbert, Rowland, and Grubic, Inc. (HRG) where he oversaw all aspects of the Oil and Gas practice group.

Mr. Cogan is an avid outdoorsman enjoying shooting sports and well archery hunting. He is also an NCAA baseball umpire working assignments throughout western Pennsylvania and southern New York. Mr. Cogan is also very active in the Keystone Elk County Alliance (KECA), a non-profit conservation organization focusing on conservation education and habitat enhancement where he is a founding Chapter Chairman and Endeavor is a Royal Partner. The KECA has very strong partnerships with the oil and natural gas industry and has completed several mission priorities partnering together.

Liz DiLullo Brown was named Little League Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer in November 2018. Liz officially joined Little League International as the Director of Marketing Partnerships in 2009 and was promoted to Vice President of Marketing and Strategic Partnerships in 2011. In 2016, Liz was named the Vice President of Marketing and Communications where she has led the development of the marketing and communications departments and enhanced the Little League brand.

 During her last 10 years with Little League, Liz has been instrumental in growing the relationship with Major League Baseball, the continued support of Little League’s official sponsors and licensees, the development of the current five-year strategic plan, the launch of the new Little League brand identity, the redesigned Little League website (LittleLeague.org) and app, the growth and development of Little League’s content, digital and social media efforts, and more.

 She is the first female employee at Little League International to hold the Senior Vice President title.

 In 2015, she was named a Sports Business Journal Game Changer Honoree, recognizing the accomplishments of women in the sports business. Prior to coming to Little League, she worked in a variety of positions for sports, entertainment and event agencies, including Velocity Sports and Entertainment (now MKTG), RedPeg Marketing and Synergy Events.

 In addition to her work for Little League International, Mrs. Brown is also a Little League mom and local league volunteer at Lewisburg (Pa.) Little League. She and her husband reside in Lewisburg with their two children.

Elizabeth (Beth) Schluter has a professional background in non-profit management and fundraising. Currently, Beth is an active community volunteer living in Williamsport, PA. 

She was the Director of Development for Susquehanna Health System, serving three hospitals in the greater Williamsport area.  While there, Beth was responsible for consolidating the operations and fundraising programs of two separate hospital Foundations and developed and managed both the Susquehanna Health Investment Committee and the Susquehanna Council of Auxiliaries. 

Prior to this position, Beth was the Director of Administration and Finance for Seacoast HealthNet, Exeter, NH, and Director of Donor and Member Development for the Manomet Center for Conservation Sciences, Manomet, MA. A graduate of Colgate University, Hamilton, NY, she earned her Masters in Business degree at Wake Forest University, Winston-Salem, NC.

Stacey is Professor of Media Arts Production at Millersville University. She teaches courses in media, public speaking, women and gender studies, and in the Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership.

She had a professional career as a DJ, writer and media producer before moving to education. She earned a doctorate in Education Policy and Leadership from University of Maryland, a MA in Media from Emerson College, and a BS in Media Communication from Salem College. She has authored books, journal articles and produced an award-winning documentary about dyslexia.

Stacey has been part of the Girl Scout organization for over forty years, earning the First Class and Gold Award. She led a troop for eight years and had the opportunity to watch girls in her troop earn the Bronze, Silver and Gold Award.

Judith Windom, affectionately known by Judi, is a true servant leader. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration from Central Penn College and a Master’s degree in Health Education from Penn State University. 

She works as a Senior Community Affairs Analyst at Highmark Blue Shield, where she manages the United Way campaign in the Central PA region, as well as, manages the volunteer program. In her role as an analyst, she also reviews corporate sponsorships and grants. 

Specializing in strategic planning and organizational skills, Judi is passionate about helping others and has an impressive ability to inspire and motivate. 

She loves promoting volunteer opportunities and has extensive experience in volunteer management, employee engagement and event planning. 

She has a passion for women and girls health and facilitated one of the largest women’s health conferences in the region for 13 years. Judi also served as a Girl Scout troop leader for more than 20 years where she was highly respected and admired by both her girls and fellow leaders. 

She currently serves on The Salvation Army advisory board, The Fund for Women and Girls marketing committee and the Girls in the Heart of PA volunteer committee. Judi is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

She earned the unique double credential status of CCDP/AP (Cornell Certified Diversity Professional/Advanced Practitioner) from Cornell University.

As the former Sr. Director of Organizational Effectiveness and Diversity (OE&D) for AHOLD/GIANT Food Stores, Deborah designed and directed the effective integration of inclusionary practices and she established AHOLD’s first Female Leadership Advisory Council and Multicultural Employee Business Resource Group.

Deborah is the recipient of the Corporate Citizenship Diversity Award, Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission; Keystone Award for Community Service, Pennsylvania Food Merchants Association; Women of Excellence Award, YWCA; The Seed of Hope Award, PA Educational & Entrepreneurial Youth Program.  Selected as one of the most “Influential Inclusion Leaders” of Central PA; she has received the Business Diversity Champion Award from the Harrisburg Regional Chamber of Commerce, and the Leadership in Diversity Award from The Conference for Women.

Gina Suydam is the President/CEO of the Wyoming County Chamber of Commerce, where she works with a variety of businesses in rural northeast Pennsylvania.  Gina serves as a board member for the Pennsylvania Association of Chamber Professionals, Northeast Sight Services and Wyoming County Community Alliance, participates with the Northern Tier Partnership for Regional Economic Performance assisting with economic development of a five-county region, and represents the county on the regional Economic Development Agency at the request of the Wyoming County Commissioners. She was named one of Northeast Pennsylvania’s Top 25 Women in Business in 2017 by the Northeast PA Business Journal.

Currently, Gina is collaborating with several other Wyoming County organizations on a Community Heart & Soul initiative, a humanities-based approach to community planning sponsored in part by the Pennsylvania Humanities Council. Gina is currently facilitating the sixth annual class of Leadership Wyoming, a regional leadership program which she implemented to develop a more complete awareness of Wyoming County’s industries amongst local professionals. 

Growing up in rural Pennsylvania, Girl Scouts was one of the few extracurricular activities that was accessible to her.  She participated in scouting for 11 years and earned her Silver and Gold Awards.  She enjoyed camping at Camp Archbald, service projects, cookie sales, and most importantly the lifelong friends she made in scouting.

Amy Beamer Murray is chief operating officer and partner at Pavone Marketing Group, a Harrisburg-based advertising agency. Pavone was founded in 1992 and Amy was the company’s first employee. Over the years, she worked at Pavone in a variety of roles, including project management, accounting, account service, media planning and public relations. She is a 1986 graduate of Newport (Pa.) High School and a 1990 graduate of Elizabethtown College, having earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She represented Newport High School at HOBY in 1984. Amy serves the community in a variety of ways: as a member of the board of the Caitlin’s Smiles; as a seminar volunteer for Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership (HOBY); as a classroom volunteer for Junior Achievement of South Central Pennsylvania; and as a guest speaker at numerous high schools, colleges and universities, and community groups. She has been named one of the Central Penn Business Journal’s Forty under 40, as one of the Top 50 Business Women in Pennsylvania by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, and as Rising Star by the Elizabethtown College Business Alumni.
