Girl Scouts are forces of nature
Because girls were meant for outdoor adventure, Girl Scouting gives her the opportunity to discover the beauty and wonders of the natural world. As she explores, hikes, swims, and camps, she’ll be building outdoor skills and the confidence to challenge herself to do more. Guided by supportive peers and adults, she develops a deeper understanding of plants, wildlife, and ecosystems, and will be inspired to protect the environment through good environmental stewardship. Sharing adventures in the outdoors creates friendships and memories that will last a lifetime!
Camp Archbald
Camp Archbald is the second oldest Girl Scout camp in the United States and it's located in Susquehanna County. Camp Archbald features Ely Lake with access to boating and swimming, as well as a climbing wall, facilitated low ropes, hiking trails, and archery. Camp Archbald sits less than 30 miles from the New York state line.
Camp Furnace Hills
Camp Furnace Hills, located in Lancaster County, while small, offers the full range of Girl Scout progressive outdoor overnight experiences. From rustic cabins to a modern lodge, and a former personal residence, Camp Furnace Hills offers individual overnight units for groups ranging in size from 17 to 40. Camp Furnace HIlls is also home to Foxfire House, a restored 19th-century Swiss-German stone bank house.
