Along with the CEO, GSHPA's Executive Team guides the organization in the planning, development, and execution of initiatives and resources to benefit a diverse group of girls, volunteers, and staff across the council footprint.
Janet is a retired U.S. Navy Two Star Rear Admiral and former Deputy Commander in the Office of the Judge Advocate General (JAG) of the Navy with more than 20 years of executive experience in strategy development, talent management and collaboration. She has completed numerous professional development and executive training courses in strategic planning, strategic communication and innovation, coalition-building, finance and accounting, cyber security, risk management and ethics.
Janet received her law degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, and Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from The College of Wooster in Wooster, Ohio. She has seen firsthand the character-building impact that Girl Scouts can make in the lives of young women, and believes Girl Scouting provides a distinctive experience to prepare our next generation of confident and capable leaders.
Miriam DeFehr is a connector and a relationship builder, with 24 years of experience in the financial industry. She is passionate about helping her local community and non-profit organizations, especially those affecting the lives of girls and women in Central Pennsylvania.
Miriam is a graduate of the Leadership Harrisburg Area Community Leadership Series program and serves on several Boards of Directors, including Leadership Harrisburg Area, Historic Harrisburg Association, and The Foundation for Enhancing Communities’ Fund for Women and Girls.
Throughout her life, Miriam lived all over Europe and India and speaks several languages. She has a background in behavioral psychology, with BA and MA from Trinity College. She resides in Harrisburg with her spouse and two dogs. They enjoy hiking, spending time at the beach and traveling the world.
Lutricia Eberly serves as Chief Membership Officer for GSHPA. Previously, as Director of Outdoor and Program Experience, she developed and executed the property business plan and served as staff liaison for GSHPA volunteer-led program teams. In addition, Lutricia represented our council nationally by serving on the GSUSA Property Strategy Committee and the GSUSA Travel Playbook Committee.
In a volunteer capacity, Lutricia has served as President of Meeting Professionals International Middle Pennsylvania, Conference Director of Human Resource Professionals of Central PA, and as a member of numerous committees with local chambers of commerce.
Lutricia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a Master’s degree in Theology. She is a 2021 graduate of Leadership Cumberland and a member of Vistage Emerging Leaders 2020.
Lutricia came to GSHPA from the travel and tourism industry and remains passionate about skiing and the outdoors. She’s also an avid fan of fiction, averaging six novels a week, and is a member of a local CrossFit gym.
Krystell Fox is the Chief Financial Officer at the Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania and has over 17 years of experience leading finance and human resources in both for-profit and non-profit settings.
Early in her career, she recognized the integral link between finance and human resources in order to achieve measurable business results. Holding a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Maryland, she went on to earn a Master of Science in Human Resource Development from Villanova University. She also holds SPHR and SHRM-SCP certifications.
Earlier in her career, she served as the Director of Finance & Human Resources for the NC State Chamber of Commerce. She took some time off work to start a family and after relocating to central PA, she re-entered the workforce as the Chief Financial Officer for Mobile X-Ray Imaging. She most recently served as the VP of Finance and Support Services for the United Way of the Capital Region where she facilitated their transition to a collective impact model to launch community initiatives in healthcare education and workforce development.
Krystell and her husband John are avid scuba divers and enjoy traveling and exploring warm waters whenever their schedules allow.
As the Chief of Staff for Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania, Adia serves as an intermediary between the senior leadership and the organization’s key stakeholders including members, volunteers, donors, staff, and community partners. In her day-to-day work, she oversees strategic business initiatives to help raise awareness of the importance of Girl Scouting and assists with the implementation of major organizational goals to ensure a high-quality Girl Scout Leadership Experience across the council’s 30 county footprint.
Her love for working in the nonprofit sector started with her service in the United States Peace Corps in East Africa and South America where she worked closely with several grassroots non-profit organizations devoted to making a difference in the world. She has spent over 12 years in leadership positions for non-profit organizations in Central Pennsylvania and graduated from the Martin Luther King Jr., Leadership Development Institute of Greater Harrisburg in 2019.
Adia has a Master's degree in Public Health from the University of South Florida, with graduate certificates in Disaster Management and Humanitarian Relief, as well as a Bachelor of the Arts degree in Communications and Sociology from the University of Central Arkansas.
Adia lives in Harrisburg with her husband – Reggie, their children – Iyanna and Trey, and their chocolate Labrador retriever – Mello.
