At You Grow, Girl! we will learn more about ourselves, our peers and
the environment. We will create signs for culturally relevant plants.
Girls have the opportunity to share a bit about their cultural
backgrounds and plants to which they feel a cultural connection, in
addition to learning about their peers!
We will research
plants and create signs to represent each researched plant.
We will use flowers to imprint cheese cloth, plus we will host
a natural tie dye session using berries and spices.
Troops attending this event must adhere to the girl-adult
ratios outlined in Volunteer Essentials. Individual girls must attend
with a parent/guardian. All troops must have at least two unrelated
chaperones.
Please eat prior to this event. Please bring
a filled water bottle.
THIS IS NOT A DROP-OFF EVENT. All
parents/guardians MUST stay on camp property for the duration of the
program.
Please note: There is an 8 girl minimum
and 20 girl maximum for this event. If you are chaperoning as an
adult, please register online- it is free to chaperone. We hope to see
you there!
