Join us for a special afternoon in partnership with the York County
SPCA where girls will have the opportunity to practice their reading
skills, while learning about the impact of stray animals on the
community and surrounding wildlife. Brownies will be able to read to
the dogs, cats, and small animals; as well as give a treat to their
reading buddy. They will earn their Pets Badge as they take part in
this Adopt-a-Badge event.
This event concludes the
York County SPCA's first week of the Bottle Baby Donation Drive -
focused on nursing stray kittens. We ask that each Girl Scout bring a
small donation (as they are able/willing) for animals at the shelter.
