Volunteer Recognition

Girl Scout volunteers leave a lasting, positive impact on the girls they serve, and we want to celebrate all they do! As girls, parents, friends, and fellow volunteers, you get to experience the day to day wonderful-ness of our GSHPA volunteers from the grand gestures, to the long hours, all the way down to the small, special moments he/she shares with a Girl Scout.

Share a story about your Girl Scout volunteer using our Mission Moment submission form or complete this fun worksheet and share it with us on social media using #GSHPAvolunteer.

Volunteer Awards

Formal adult awards are available to recognize exemplary service of adult Girl Scouts who go above and beyond the expectations of an individual’s volunteer position.

Volunteers, girl members, and/or their families may nominate someone for an award.

The Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania Volunteer Recognition and Appreciation Committee accepts and reviews nominations on an annual basis. Nominations are due in February and will be reviewed by the Volunteer Strategy Committee for April recognition. Start planning your nomination today!

Thank you for your time in nominating a volunteer!

GSHPA wants to recognize volunteers for their years of service! Service Unit Leads should fill out the Volunteer Years of Service Request Form to request pins for volunteers in their service unit.
