Hey Cadettes! If you like scrolling through TikTok and spending time online, this is the session for you!
Join us to earn your Cybersecurity Basics badge by exploring different hacking techniques, and learning how to protect yourself with some basic precautions.
You will:
1. Crack a code.
2. Hack a password.
3. Explore
two-factor authentication.
4. Launch a man-in-the-middle
attack.
5. Explore social engineering.
When you've earned this badge, you'll know how (and why) it's important to protect yourself with strong passwords, secure encryption, and caution when clicking links.
This badge session will be held at Capital Blue Cross Connect in Enola. Enjoy an included continental breakfast before the session!
Troops attending this event must adhere to the girl-adult ratios outlined in Volunteer Essentials. Individual girls must attend with a parent/guardian. All troops must have at least two unrelated chaperones. All adults attending the program MUST be registered. Please consider only registering enough adults in order to maintain ratio. Any additional adults will take away from girl spots.
You will receive additional information regarding your program about 1 week prior to the start of the event.
CANCELLATION POLICY: Program fee refunds will not be issued for cancellations received ONE WEEK or less before the event. Registration transfers will not be possible once the event closes. If GSHPA staff need to cancel the event due to low enrollment or other factors, program fee refunds will be issued and registrants will be notified.
