Have you ever dreamed of having a pet to call your very own? Get ready for a PAWSitively fun adventure, with Centre County PAWS! During this hands-on event, Brownie girls will become pet-care pros as they learn what it really takes to love and care for a furry friend. They'll put their math skills to work by figuring out the true cost of pet ownership (food, toys, vet visits, oh my!) and discover how to keep cats happy, healthy, and safe.
Then it's time to spread some extra love! Brownies will craft snuffle mats to help the resident animals keep their brains sharp. To wrap up this heart-melting experience, girls will meet some of the shelter's cats, deliver the snuffle mats they made, and share a few yummy treats.
By the end of the event, Brownies will walk away with the confidence, knowledge, and compassion needed to be a responsible pet owner.
Brownie girls will earn their "Pets" badge at this event.
Troops attending this event must adhere to the girl-adult ratios outlined in Volunteer Essentials. Individual girls must attend with a parent/guardian. All troops must have at least two unrelated chaperones. All adults attending the program MUST be registered. Please consider only registering enough adults in order to maintain ratio. Any additional adults will take away from girl spots.
You will receive additional information regarding your program about 1 week prior to the start of the event.
CANCELLATION POLICY: Program fee refunds will not be issued for cancellations received ONE WEEK or less before the event. Registration transfers will not be possible once the event closes. If GSHPA staff need to cancel the event due to low enrollment or other factors, program fee refunds will be issued and registrants will be notified. Registration transfers will not be possible once the event closes.
