Join GSHPA staff and fellow Girl Scouts for a day of enjoying the snow at Montage Mountain! Design and construct a human-powered cardboard sled that can effectively descend a slope similar to a snow tubing track. We encourage you to showcase your creativity using only cardboard as your main building material. Join us for a fun and exciting experience!
Brave the winter weather and enjoy a hot chocolate treat as you compete for fun, victory, and bragging rights.
Service Units, Troops, and individual Girl Scouts are encouraged to plan and construct their cardboard sleds at home prior to arriving at Montage to participate in a race alongside fellow Girl Scouts on a track created by Montage Mountain staff. GSHPA staff will be available to provide supplies necessary for emergency repairs only.
This event is located in Scranton, Lackawanna County.
Troops attending this event must adhere to the girl-adult ratios outlined in Volunteer Essentials. Individual girls must attend with a parent/guardian. All troops must have at least two unrelated chaperones. All adults attending the program MUST be registered. Please consider only registering enough adults in order to maintain ratio. Any additional adults will take away from girl spots.
You will receive additional information regarding your program about 1 week prior to the start of the event.
CANCELLATION POLICY: Program fee refunds will not be issued for cancellations received ONE WEEK or less before the event. Registration transfers will not be possible once the event closes. If GSHPA staff need to cancel the event due to low enrollment or other factors, program fee refunds will be issued and registrants will be notified. Registration transfers will not be possible once the event closes.
