Harrisburg, PA (February 14, 2023) – Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania (GSHPA) will rally once again to host its annual Girl Scout Cookie Mega Drop on Feb. 18 when over 395,000 packages of Girl Scout Cookies will be delivered to locations in Harrisburg, Selinsgrove, Scranton, and York.
The Mega Drop is an all-day distribution event where Girl Scout Troops stop at a distribution site near them to collect cookies to provide to their customers.
“Our annual Mega Drop event is always a sight to behold. We have so many hardworking volunteers and staff come out to help move thousands of cookies across our 30-county footprint. It’s a great demonstration of how much effort and logistics goes into getting Girl Scout Cookies to troops and ultimately, to local customers,” said Jessica Mislinski, GSHPA Director of Product Program and Retail.
We invite the local media to join GSHPA at any of the four distribution locations to experience the excitement of Mega Drop. Cookie deliveries and distributions will begin between 8 and 8:30 a.m. depending on location. The best times for interview, video, and photo opportunities will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. On-site GSHPA staff who will be available for media inquiries include:
