Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania gets ready to rally in Wilkes Barre for cookie event

Harrisburg, PA (February 6, 2023) – Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania (GSHPA) is gearing up for its first GSHPA Cookie Rally in the northeast since 2020.
All registered Girl Scouts, troop leaders, volunteers, and parents/caregivers across GSHPA’s 30-county footprint are invited to attend this sweet event on Feb. 12, 2023, from 10 a.m. to noon. Attendees will spend the morning at the Toyota SportsPlex in Wilkes Barre, Pa., participating in a variety of cookie-themed activities including a selfie station photo booth, games, crafts, cookie tastings, and an information station with a recycling focus. Girls will also have the opportunity to win prizes through a random drawing.
“When I started working at GSHPA in 2020, the first event I assisted with was a cookie rally. It makes me so happy to see girls come together in the area again to have some fun all while learning about cookies!” said Gina Naticchi, a GSHPA Volunteer Support Coordinator assisting with coordinating the rally.
“The Girl Scout Cookie Program gives girls real world experience and helps them learn skills like goal setting, decision making, money management, business ethics, and people skills. This rally is a great opportunity for girls to explore the largest girl-led entrepreneurial program in the world all while having fun alongside their Girl Scout sisters,” said Jessica Mislinski, GSHPA Director of Product Program and Retail.
Members of the media are invited to attend the rally to see Girl Scouts in action. Girls and volunteers will need to register to attend the event by Feb. 9 on GSHPA's events webpage.
