
Harrisburg, PA (June 19, 2023) – This spring, Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania (GSHPA) welcomed newly elected Board Members-at-Large to the organization.
“We are very excited to welcome several new community leaders to serve alongside our existing dedicated board leadership so that we can continue making a difference in our local communities by building girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place,” said Janet Donovan, GSHPA President and CEO.
New Board Members-at-Large:
Amy Beamer Murray, Harrisburg, is the Chief Operating Officer and partner at Pavone Marketing Group, a Harrisburg-based advertising agency. Murray also serves on the GSHPA Volunteer Strategy Committee.
Sara Anne Boddery, Gettysburg, is a Global Managing Director at the software company Blackbaud. Boddery also serves on the GSHPA Fund Development Committee.
Kate Dieffenbach Firestine, Lancaster, is the Senior Vice President, Health at the global communications firm Edelman. Dieffenbach Firestine also serves on the GSHPA Strategic Planning Committee.
Betsy Keefer, York, is a community volunteer whose 40-year career with the Girl Scouts included multiple CEO roles for various councils including Penn Laurel Council in York. Keefer rejoins the board after taking the required time off as outlined in the corporation’s bylaws, and is also the GSHPA Fund Development Committee Chair.
Dawn Kirchner-King, Wrightsville, is the Senior Vice President & Global Chief Information Officer of Armstrong Building Products, a division of Armstrong World Industries. Kirchner-King also serves on GSHPA’s Property Committee.
Mary Pochobradsky, Lititz, is the CEO of Pochobradsky Enterprises, LLC, a company that advises private equity and privately owned brands and businesses. Pochobradsky also serves on the GSHPA Fund Development Committee.

Adrienne Vicari, Board Chair, of Enola, is the Financial Services Practice Area Leader for Herbert, Rowland & Grubic Inc. She has a broad range of experience in financial, project management and engineering design services for municipal wastewater, water and storm water clients. Vicari was elected to serve her second term in the Board Chair role. As GSHPA Board Chair, she serves on the GSHPA Executive Committee and as ex-officio to the other board committees.
Jayne Huston, Board Vice Chair, of Hummelstown, is a Business Coach and Vice President of ThistleSea Business Development, LLC. She has grown businesses throughout the Commonwealth through coaching, mentoring, and consulting services. For the past two decades, women entrepreneurs have benefited from her involvement and technical assistance. This is Huston’s first term as Vice Chair. She also serves on the GSHPA Executive Committee and Strategic Planning Committee.
Alison Bernhardt, Board Secretary, of Mount Joy, is the Senior Vice President, Strategic Financial Operations for Select Medical, and has extensive experience managing financial actions and developing strategic direction for corporations in Central Pennsylvania. This is Bernhardt’s first term as secretary. Bernhardt also serves on the GSHPA Executive Committee and as chair of the GSHPA Finance & Audit Committee.
Barbara Green, Board Treasurer, of Leighton, recently retired from her role as President of Blue Mountain Ski Resort with more than 30 years of business management experience. Green is a former Girl Scout, and a member of the GSHPA Finance & Audit Committee and the Executive Committee. This is Green’s first term as Treasurer.
