Harrisburg, PA (May 2, 2025) – Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania will honor the Gold Award Girl Scout Class of 2025 at a ceremony on Sunday, June 8, at Farrington Place, 416 W. Third St., Williamsport, beginning at 2 p.m. Girl Scouts from throughout the organization’s 30-country footprint will be recognized for earning their Gold Award, the highest achievement in Girl Scouting.
The ceremony will feature remarks from Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania staff, spotlight specific projects, and honor the Girl Scouts in attendance.
The Gold Award is the highest achievement a Girl Scout can earn, available to girls in high school who create sustainable change for a community or world issue. Gold Award Girl Scouts address pressing issues in their communities and create sustainable change to make the world a better place. Each Girl Scout devotes a minimum of 80 hours to earn the award.
The Gold Award process not only enables girls to help their communities but also provides tangible benefits as they grow as individuals. By going Gold, girls hone professional skills, earn scholarships, build their network, and for those interested in serving their country, can enlist at a higher pay grade when they join the military.
